Erik ten Hag has issued his official farewell statement to Manchester United fans after parting ways with the club in October.

The official appointment of United’s new head coach sparked Ten Hag to issue his final statement to the fans, thanking them for the support he had received while in charge of the club.
“Let me start by thanking you,” read a statement through his management Sports entertainment group. “Thank you for always being there for the club. Whether it was in an away game or a tough game at Old Trafford, your support has been unwavering.
“The atmosphere at Old Trafford has always been electrifying, thanks to you. I heard it many times. Even in away games, it gave me and the team an incredible feeling to hear the United chants take over of rival stadiums, whether the match was in England, Europe or during the summer tours.
“I’ve always liked to meet Manchester United fans all over the world. Walking the streets and being able to chat with fans from England, Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA, you inspired me and radiated a strong sense of unity. That’s what makes United fans so special.
“I want to thank you for giving me this feeling and for your support. I also want to thank the staff in all departments of the club for their unwavering support in good times and bad.
“We won two trophies, achievements that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Of course, my dream was to bring more trophies into the cabinet. Unfortunately, that dream is over. I wish all Manchester United fans nothing but achievements, trophies and glory Your support and the warmth I have received from all members of the club have made me feel at home.
