Eddie Howe Eyes Marcus Tavernier for the right wing

Newcastle United does the homework of Marcus Tavernier de Bournemouth, according to reports.

Magpies seek to strengthen their attack this summer with cherries on the list, reveals TBR football.

Eddie Howe is particularly eager to add more fire force to the right wing, in order to balance an attack that has greatly supported Anthony Gordon’s threat from the left. They need to replace Miguel Almiron, who left for Atlanta United in January.

Newcastle is already closing the signature of Antonio Cordero, but Magpies also want a more experienced complement to their front line. It is now believed that Tavernier has appeared as a potential goal.

Newcastle is already launching the foundations for a possible summer play for the Bournemouth end before the summer transfer window.

Tavernier, whose brother James had a spell in Newcastle before moving to Wigan in 2014, has been fine this season: he has two times marked and recorded five assists in 18 appearances, helping Bournemouth to go up European Site of the Premier League.

Tavernier is not the only name on Newcastle’s list. The club is also monitoring Brentford’s Bryan MbeumoJohan Bakayoko of PSV Eindhoven and Mohammed Kudus of West Ham, while Antoine Semenyo de Bournemouth is another player they admire.

If Newcastle moves for Tavernier this summer, it would be a return house. Born and raised in Newcastle, he spent some time at the Club Academy before moving to Middlesbrough in 2013. He is now making his trade in the Premier League and enjoying a great season.

Speaking on the official website of Bournemouth last season, Tavernier said: “Most of my friends are fond of Newcastle. I grew up in Newcastle and lived there while in Middlesbrough. I know a lot about the city, the club and all that There is. “
