Eddie Hearn sounded furious last Saturday and responded to his match fighter, IBF Light Welterweight Champion Richardson Hitchins, and announced in the ring that he was a free agent after his victory over George Kambosos in Madison Square Garden in New York.

Hearn says he invested a lot of money in the development of Hitchins (20-0, 8 COs), which moved him to a world title and the Kambosos battle. He lost money in the battle of Hitchins. He felt it was a stitch in the back, a sign of infidelity that Richardson, 27, announced to the world last Saturday, announcing that he was a free agent.

Richardson: No power, boring style

The right question is: Why did Hearn invest money in Hitchins if his fighting style is boring, and not one that resonates with fans? It was a mistake. Hearn has fighters who have a lot more fan -friendly styles than hitchins, which he has to build. With Hitchins he has to be protected, because if he is with the good 140 pounds, such as Gary Antuanne Russell, Ernesto Mercado, Keyshawn Davis and Subriel Matias, he will probably lose.

Hitchins seems to believe that Turki Alalshikh will locate him as with Edgar Berlanga after leaving the match room. According to reports, Turki will not work with Hitchins unless he is with the match room. This leaves Hitchins no choice but to swallow his pride and return to Hearn in the hope that he will still welcome him.
