Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed that there were talks between Turki Al-Sheikh and Light Welterweight Champions Richardson Hitchins and Theofimo Lopez for a Union Fight Next at 140. Hearn is confident that his fighter, IBF champion Hitchins (19-0, 7 costs) will defeat the WBO belt holder Theofimo (21-1, 13 COs) next.
TheOFIMO apparently signed a three-fighting agreement with Turki for these three fights:
- Richardson Hitchins
- Jaron Ennis
- Ryan Garcia vs. Devin Haney 2 winner or loser (most likely loser)

Hearn is right. Hitchins will beat theofimo 100% and make it look easily in the process. It will be an even easier victory for Hitchins than his dominant victory over IBF 140-LB champion Liam Paro on December 7. If Turki wants theofimo to take three hard fights as part of his contract with him, he will lose everyone, start with Richardson.
Theofimo will not fight with Hitchins unless Turki Al-Sheikh offers him a boat load of money because it is not his style to take tough fights, especially after he is in his matches against Jamaine Ortiz, Sandor Martin and George Kambosos jr.
Kambosos’s faded hope
