Crystal Palace is pressing to sign AC Ombudsman Strahinja Pavlovic in an agreement worth about £ 25 million before the transfer window closes Monday, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Manager Oliver Glasner has been forced to rethink his defensive plans after Trevoh Chalobah was remembered by Chelsea, despite the fact that the Blues hurried to the door during the summer, and the new Signature Chadi Riyadh suffered a serious injury to the Knee, discarding it for the rest of the season.
With limited options at the back, Palace is now urgently seeking to introduce reinforcements before the deadline, which closes tomorrow at 23:00 in the United Kingdom.
Glasner is a great admirer of the 23-year-old Center-Back, who has been a key figure for Milan in both A series A and the Champions League this season. However, Milan is reluctant to leave him cheap, especially after signing him of Red Bull Salzburg last summer.
Nixon claims that Italian giants could require up to £ 35 million, although Palace is still hopeful of combating a closer than £ 25 million agreement. It is not clear if Milan would be open to leaving it for this amount or if a commitment can be reached.
Palace Look at several defensive options
The Eagles are also aware of the future, with club captain Marc Guehi, he entered the last year of his summer contract. Its potential output would only increase the need for defensive reinforcements.
Although Pavlovic is still a priority, the Palace also monitors the situation of Tiago Djalo in Porto. Juventus loan could serve as an alternative if an agreement for Pavlovic is too difficult to complete.
So far, this window, Palace has strengthened its attack with the signature of Romain Esse de Millwall. However, at least one more sign is expected before the window closes.
