Novak Djokovic will be armed with a well -known collaborator in Roland Garros.
Grand Slam King Djokovic announced today that he will be trained by his long friend and former partner of the two Dusan Vemy, For both this week Geneva Open and Roland Garros, who begins on Sunday.
The 48-year-old venue, one of the largest servers in the history of the Serbian tennis, reached the semifinal of the Roland Garros and Australian Open during his game days.
A very experienced coach, Vemy has worked with Hall of Fammers The Bryan Brothers, Andrea Petkovic, Brandon Nakashima and previously served as a assistant coach of Djokovic’s team for former coach Marian Vajda. Vemy was in Gjokovic’s box when Miami Open 2016 won.
“Dusan Vemy, Serbian team captain BJK Cup, he was in my team a few years ago (it’s my coach),” Djokovic told Geneva media when asked about his coach. “He’s here, and will be in Roland.
“Boris Bosnjakovic, who has been a team analyst and assistant coach, shares future tournaments with Dusan. And then we will see.
Part of this familiarity comes from Djokovic’s years Davis Cup and ATP Tour Experience with Vemic, who is a respected technician known as a positive presence in the training box. Even in years Gjokovic and Vemy were not working together, they stayed in touch as friends.
Gjokovic, who celebrates his 38th birthday on Thursday, split with former coach Andy Murray after Madrid and chose outside Rome. This means that Gjokovic is without a win during this clay campaign.
Asked what went wrong with Murray’s partnership, Gjokovic said they initially agreed to work on a trial and he felt that the partnership simply developed his course.
“I can’t tell you more than what you read in our statements. We said we were not committed to the long term,” Djokovic told the media in Geneva. “Australia had been a test. We then told ourselves that we would work in Indian Wells and Miami. In Clay, we went to see the tournament after the tournament. And we agreed on this division.
“We felt like we couldn’t get out more from that association in court. My respect for Andy remains the same. And he is even greater as I know him better as a person. He has a great tennis tennis. A rare state of the mind of a sample.”

Despite their common knowledge, Gjokovic said that ultimately, the couple of Olympic Champions of the gold did not reach their aspirations for the title.
“He sees the game in an extraordinary way,” Gjokovic told Murray. “But, as I can say, we didn’t get together what we hoped to achieve in terms of results. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. We tried.”
The Olympic Champion of the Gold Medal Djokovic will face veteran Marton Fucsovics in his opening of Geneva tomorrow.
“There were days when (my exercise) was very good, others when it was more complicated. But all this is normal,” Djokovic said for his preparation for Paris. “I’m excited to play a match in Clay. I haven’t played a lot this season. I still haven’t won a …
“From this point of view, it is not ideal. I hope I can play more than one here. I hope to ‘build’ my form ahead of the main target on this surface that represents Roland-Garros, and play better than I have in the last half month. “
