Turki Alalshikh asked his followers on X tonight what they think of a fight between United Welterweight Champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis and Theofimo Lopez. It is a fight that requires two things to happen if it is going to happen next.
Turki would not ask fans what they think of a battle between Ennis and Teo if he didn’t think about making the game happen quickly.
- Theofimo must be Arnold Barboza jr. On May 2 defeated
- Ennis successfully defends against its WBA compulsory Shakhram Giyasov
Turki did not say when he was able to consider a fight between boots (34-0, 30 COs) and WBO lightweight Theofimo (21-1, 13 COs). For both, It can’t happen soon enough.
Ennis was raised by the WBA Championships to Super Champion today and within 120 days of his victory over Eimantas Stanionis on April 12, on April 12 to defend against Giyasov (17-0, 10 COs).
What do you think of a battle between boots and theofimo?

Boots’ promoter Eddie Hearn is likely to be very happy about him facing next time instead of Giyasov. Not only is it a bigger money fight against Lopez, but it is easier for Ennis than to face Olympic silver medalist Giyasov in 2016.
Lopez does not have an attractive battle in the immediate pipeline if he against Barboza Jr. on May 2. (33-0, 11 COs) do not overcome. His options are a one -game against IBF Light Welterweight Champion Richardson Hitchins and Subriel Matias. These are not big fights, and both will be risky for thee.
Built -in excuse
If Turki can set up Lopez for a fight against WBA and IBF Champion Boots Ennis, it would be a bigger payday for him. In addition, it offers thee a built -in excuse if he loses. He can always tell his fans that he was beaten by the welter weight on the planet, Boots, and that they would give him a free pace for his defeat. Lopez would not have that luxury if he lost to Hitchins or Matias.
