There are doubts among fans that Dmitri will return for the rest of 2025 to stand Artur betterbiev in their three-belt trilogy match against lightweight.
BIVOL-BETERBIEV trilogy doubt
The decision of the two fighters to change the organizers of the battle of Saudi Arabia to Russia is believed to be the cause of the delay. Bivol-Beterbiev was supposed to fight in November 2025. With no confirmed date for the trilogy match from July 23, it is a sign that the fight may not be able to take place until 2026.

Betterbiev’s frustration
Artur, 40, recently expressed frustration on Instagram about the delay of Biblical in their trilogy match and said: “How old should I be so we can fight for the third time?” He suspects that Biblical, 34, is pulling out their trilogy match to age him more, so he will have a better chance of winning.
Biblical lost their first fight in October last year and would probably have been in second place if better Biev is not chasing a knee shortly after the knee surgery on a blown menisk. Artur wanted to fight against Biblical five years ago, and feel that he is delaying to age.
When they finally fought last year, the pressure of Betterbiev proved too much for Biblical, who ran around the ring, and showed little interest in standing and fighting.
