Dorna now have ‘reservations’ as the giant £41bn manufacturer has decided to enter MotoGP.


As the 2025 MotoGP season approaches, there is excitement surrounding the sport’s future with the coming regulatory wave of 2027.

MotoGP They are moving to become a more sustainable and safer championship. Like Formula 1, the premier class will run on 100% sustainable fuels by 2027.

The bike’s engine size will be reduced to 850cc and the maximum number of engines allowed per rider at a time will be reduced to six. All ride height and bore tools are also suspended.

As MotoGP embarks on an exciting new era, speculation has grown as to whether another manufacturer could find its way onto the grid.

And speaking on Pessino GP’s YouTube channel, journalist Manuel Pessino says a giant manufacturer has ‘decided’ to enter the sport.

Dorna has ‘booked’ places to join BMW MotoGP in 2027.

According to Pessino, BMW has decided to join the grid. Dorna – the owners of the sport – have places ‘reserved’ for them £41bn-estimated Manufacturer enters as a private group.

“BMW was thinking they would decide on MotoGP in the middle of the year. Well, it’s decided on MotoGP,” he said.

“I think there is no official confirmation. There are hints that MotoGP will be decided. It is easy to assume that it will be for 2027.

“They explained to me what they were thinking then, what they are thinking today is how they are going to get into MotoGP.

“There are two ways: one, as Apria did, by joining a team that does not have its own structure and developing the bike in that team.

“Another is to present itself directly to the factory team. Dorna has two spots perfectly positioned for him.

“On the other hand, it must be said that today it is almost impossible to imagine setting up a new art group. The cost is too high and we have seen how such attempts fail like RNF.

How does BMW go about their MotoGP business?

BMW may continue to enter the sport as a factory team. After all, there are places set aside for them to do so.

BMW may attract another team to join their project. Current Ducati Outfitting VR46 will be the choice of team owner – seven-time champion Valentino Rossi – against the Munich-based team’s endurance programme.
