One of the largest stories in 2025 is Donavan Brazier.
Donavan Brazier is 800 meters from the world world champion. And in 2025, Donaver Brothers won the US Champions in my memory in one of Americans’ greatest competitions (I was there in LA in 1984, it was also a race). Here is the story.
From 2020, his journey had many ups and downs. His PAP was posted on the world champions in Qatar in Douha. That race was brilliant. I went up at the stadium and watched Donavan’s move 500 meters away. Donavan Brazier Ran 1: 42.34, breaking a 34-year-old American record 1. 42.60 is set by John’s gray. Donavs Brothers were on fire. In 2022, at the Champions of Eugene, Donavi Brazie, Fitness and wounded, he did not take it from heating. In 46.72, not giving him his title from 2019.

Donavan Brothers had several difficult years, including two, 2023 and 2024, where he did not compete. The following interview was conducted in the spring of 2023, in Las Vegas, as Donavan is being restored from surgery. He had been injuries, no race, pain, self-confidence. Donavan noted that he was in the mixed zone that he would not do without his family, friends, team and coaches.

Donavan Brazier returned to compete in June 2025, June 7, 1. 44.70 at the Doad Festival in Tennessee Nashville. On June 16, 2025, Donavan won the Iconic Portland Track Fest at 800 m, 1. 43.80. 2025 On July 16, Donavan Brothers visited London DL, sixth 1. In 43.08 to complete his best race in five years. Donavan was pushed and ready to roll.
On the US champions, Donaver Brothers did it through the first stage and semester. On August 3, 2025, the USATF brusters returned and exceeded his old self, leaving the last 80 meters, taking the final lead and winning the US Champions 1. 42.16. His return was full, preparing WCS standard for Tokyo. Six years after winning in Dodari Doha, Donaver Brothers compete with his whole body, mind and spirit.
After his race at the US champions, I had a few minutes with Donavi Brazie, I thought you would like to see the reborn world champion. Well done, Donavi Brazier. You made me cry watching you finish. It was up to you above my most horrible dreams, and it was glorious. One of the best 800 meters of race ever nominated in US championships.
