Alex de minaur signed the “Dog Clay” camera after his victory Grigor Dimitrov Friday at Monte-Carlo.
Maybe he should have signed “not mercy”.
Aussie broke Bulgarian 6-0, 6-0 and only fell 15 points along the 45-minute shock. It was Deur Mineur’s first double victory in his career, as he became the first Aussie to reach the semifinal in Monte-Carlo since 1979.
“Crazy is crazy,” he said in court after the match. “As the years have passed, I have grown up to understand the things I can do well on this surface to become a tougher opponent.”
Winning in fashion without country, De Mineur became the first player in the history of Masters 1000 to win from a dual Bagel score in a match that took place in the quarter -finals or beyond.

Dimitrov won only 8 out of 32 points in the service, and he managed to earn only seven points of return while falling to 2-4 against De Minaur. The 33-year-old was offering to become the sixth oldest semi-finalist in Monte-Carlo’s history.
Dimitrov is not the only player who has problems winning games against De Minaur ranked 10th. Aussie has only dropped seven games in his last six groups in Monte-Carlo.

De Minaur, who runs all ATP players with 20 wins in 2025, will face Stefanos Tsisisas or Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals.
