Does MS Dhoni still miss international cricket? India’s ‘GOAT’ is a fresh revelation


Legendary India skipper MS Dhoni recently spoke about his life after his retirement from international cricket. Dhoni also revealed that he misses playing for India after hanging up his shoes.

Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020. His last international game was in the ODI World Cup semi-final between India and India. New Zealandwhere the Men in Blue suffered a heartbreaking defeat.

Dhoni was dismissed in the last over of the match as India failed to qualify for the final. His wicket was probably the final nail in the coffin as it allowed New Zealand to qualify for the summit clash.

Does MS Dhoni miss international cricket?

Speaking on the Eurogrip Tires YouTube channel, MS Dhoni talked about his life after retirement. He claims that he still doesn’t have much time after retiring from international cricket.

But as expected, he gave a straightforward answer to the question about the disappearance of international cricket. He made it clear that he did not miss, as he thought hard before announcing the decision and knew that it was pointless to think about it again.

“I thought I would have more time, but unfortunately I don’t have much time. I don’t miss international cricket because I believe you always think things through and then decide,” said Dhoni.

“Once you make a decision, you don’t have to think about it. So I am very happy with God’s grace for whatever I have been able to do for my country,” he said.

MS Dhoni further shed light on his post-retirement life and claimed how it has allowed him to reconnect with his family and friends. He also talked about his love for bicycles and how he can ride them very smoothly.

“It was fun. I’ve been able to spend more time with my friends, I’ve been able to ride more motorbikes, not long rides, it’s something very close to my heart. It was good, family time, my daughter asked when he will be back,” Dhoni said.

It is well known that Dhoni has a long-standing love for motorcycles. The legendary goalkeeper has an extensive collection of bikes and is often seen riding them outside or near his home.

MS Dhoni is still an active IPL player

Although retired from international cricket, MS Dhoni is still an active player in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 43-year-old specialist continues to play in his favorite franchise Chennai Super Kings and will become them in the upcoming season.

CSK retained Dhoni in open player category for INR 4 crore by CSK as his last international match was played more than five years ago. In the last few years, he has become a lower order batsman and has played a few fiery cameos in the order.
