The Los Angeles Dodgers got a historic season from superstar Shohei Ohtani, who recently became the fastest player to hit 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a season in the first year of his record $700 million contract.
Dodgers fans have taken quite kindly to their new superstar, and Ohtani recently made quite a splash when the team announced his second pitching night.
With the game against the Baltimore Orioles marking a promotional night, Dodger Stadium announcer Elisa Hernandez shared a photo of fans lining up to get in at 11 a.m., more than eight hours before the 7:10 p.m. local kickoff.

The first 40,000 fans through the door will receive an Ohtani bullpen, so getting there eight hours early might be a little excessive, though you can’t knock them for showing their new star some love.
The bobblehead comes in two colors, one is a traditional color and the other is all gold.
Ohtani’s first night in May featured a more typical statue that also generated an incredible amount of traffic to the stadium.
The best part of this teaser is that Ohtani is holding his beloved dog, Deco, who happens to be a little Bulgarian himself.
The kit will likely cost a bit of money due to the novelty of the item, and the gold heads with the Decoy in Ohtani’s hand can probably turn around for a pretty penny.
Hopefully there won’t be a bunch of these on eBay in the coming days.
