The 2024 Major League Baseball World Series begins on Friday between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees.

This World Series game features two of the best offensive teams in baseball and two historic franchises.

Neither team has won the World Series since 2020, when the Dodgers won in a Covid-shortened season.

The Dodgers will look to take advantage of the first game at Dodger Stadium.

According to “X” of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Dodgers have announced their lineup for Game 1.

Tommy Edman was the Cinderella story in the National League Championship as he briefly faced the cleanup in the absence of Freddie Freeman through injury.

Edman took advantage of that and earned NLCS Most Valuable Player honors with his performance.

Notably, Edman dropped to eighth in the first game with the return of first baseman Freeman.

This Dodgers lineup appears to be loaded with talent from top to bottom, and any player could go deep at any time.

Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freeman have been the mainstays of the Dodgers order this season, and it will be interesting to see how the Yankees pitchers approach them in this series.

Jack Flaherty will take the mound for the Dodgers in Game 1 after his last game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This star-studded series should provide plenty of fireworks for baseball fans as it gets underway on Friday.
