Do top sellers match top performers? We have the data

We already have the data on the best blade throwers of 2026.

Our testing looked at performance on short, medium and long putts using PuttView, giving us a clear picture of which patterns help players hit more holes.

But sometimes, it’s just as interesting to see what golfers are buying.

We asked PGA TOUR Superstore which blade devices are selling the most right now and compare it to our test results. Rather than focusing on individual models, we looked at it from a brand perspective to see where performance and popularity overlap.

If you’re trying to decide which shooters to test this season, this gives you a much clearer starting point.

Where performance and popularity meet

These are the brands where performance and popularity overlap. The same names that appear in our testing are also the ones that golfers buy most often.

PING is the clearest example of golfers doing it right. Multiple Scottsdale models finished next to our test and delivered strong performance at all distances. of Anser style forms that dominate retail shelves are the same ones that produce some of the best results in testing. If you are selecting a PING blade, the data supports it.

COBRA’s Both retail and test presence is driven by its 3D printed lineup. of LIMIT3D Track-60 golfers are buying shares the same design philosophy as 3DP Tour Grandsportone of the strongest performers in our test. This connection between technology and performance is clear. 3D printed models show enough durability to earn a spot on your must-try list this year.

of Studio style lineup is one of the best-selling options at the PGA TOUR Superstore. In our results, the Newport 2 finished in -3.3 PuttView Overall Handicapwith solid performance in short (-3.9) and long (-6.4) throws. standard Newport was not far behind -2.9 overall. While both models delivered solid performance, Newport 2 showed a more consistent profile over the distances and finished higher in the overall standings.

But when we look at the Odyssey’s performance in our 2026 Blade Throw test, the results fall in the bottom half of the field.

The one people should buy (but don’t)

The best performing blade flux in our 2026 test was not one PING, Scotty OR Odyssey.

it Was Mizuno.

of M.Craft Osaka was separated from the field by one -5.5 PuttView Overall Handicapthe best score in the whole test. He gave elite performance in short throws (-6.5) and long shots (-7.4), something that very few players in the field were able to do. This was not a separate field. It was consistently strong at all distances.

And yet, it’s not a name you hear often when golfers talk about retail blade players. The performance is there, so it might be worth adding to your list of players to try.

Final thoughts

Some brands prove that popularity and performance can be matched. PING is the best example. Scotty Cameron holds ground. COBRA is trending in the right direction. If you’re looking for a new shooter in 2026, take a look at our full results of the best Blade Putters.

Keep in mind that programs like PGA TOUR Superstore’s Players Club Plus also make it easy to get that right, with a free annual fit (a $99 value) and access to daily practice to test multiple models side-by-side.
