Every golfer wants more speed. You’ll never make it if you stay on your side of the track through influence. Either just slide forward or just think about ending up on your front foot. Your swing should be more athletic to deliver the club with the speed you’ve been looking for. What you lack is a push to the right side.
I liken the motion to what an MLB pitcher does. Of course, he ends up on his front foot. But what gets him there? The answer is a big push from his leg. It is this thrust that has the potential to send your swing speed off the charts.
3 exercises every golfer should do to help improve their golf swing

You can work on this at the gym or at home with the help of a resistance band and a friend.
Have your friend hold one end of the band and you the other, as you see above. Load normally into the backswing, where the bar will loosen, then swing by really pushing that trail leg and not just rotating your hips. Think of it as a knockout punch.
Do 10 reps like this, then swing a club. You will feel the difference – and much more speed.
