In January this year, we reported that Jannik sinful And Darren Cahill would not work together after the 2025 season. On Sunday we learned that the separation could be as clean as it was foreseen.
Asked about the future of the duo after the sinner won his daughter Wimbledon Sunday’s final, Cahill seemed to alluded that the partnership could not end. “I don’t want to answer that,” Cahill replied. “You know what? You just have to ask Jannik it.”
The sinner was not asked in English, but in the Italian section of his press conference the question was asked.
“We did a bet in front of the final: I told him if I won, I could choose whether or not he could stay at the end of the year. Now the choice is mine!” Said the 23-year-old Italian.

It is difficult to show whether he was serious or not, but he has submitted a possible plan that would allow Cahill to continue training and counseling from a distance.
“If I choose to stay with him, he will certainly not travel so much anymore, that’s normal,” Sinner said. “I’ve always told him that I would like to have it in Australia because things are going well. Plus, the season is still tall, there are still so many tournaments to go, and I will see it much more … But I won the bet, now we will see!”
It makes sense in many ways, and not just in Australia. Cahill is contracted to work in the Grand Slams as an analyst, so he is already there in the four largest shifts. Why not keep touching one of the biggest training minds the sport has ever seen?
“I have always asked for an honest person, who gives me so much not only in the tennis court, but also in life outside, both in success and disappointment,” Sinner added.
