“Happy Gilmore 2” only did the story of Netflix With its record 46.7 million views in its first three days on the broadcast platform. The continuation is a Journey driven by nostalgia, raised by Cameo Filled with one-liners and many professional players.
Most of those players make their entry during a dinner scene for the winners of the Tour championship. It is there that Adam Sandler sits with Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Fred Couple and Lee Trevino, while Jordan Spieth complains about the brand of jeans in his drink and Xander Schauffle tries to laugh at a joke “this is what she said.”
Hunter Mahan, who served as Sandler’s body double in the film, took a front row place on the dinner scene. Mahan joined the latest Podcast of Golf’s Subpar episode to drink in his time with co-perpetrators Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz.
Mahan admitted that Faldo and some of the other PGA Tour legends tried to draw their lines at first, but in general, the golf’s good did well working on the silver screen.
“Seeing Mr Nicklaus try to draw his line, as if you were so nervous that everyone is trying to spit their really fast line,” Mahan said. “So they had to slow it down,” Hey, we’re just talking. “… just calming everyone and getting into the conversation and then going to their lines seemed to make it work. That’s Lee being Lee.
As for the benefits of the current tour, Schauffle was the unexpected start of the dinner scene.
“Everyone got it right,” said Mahan. “I thought Xander was really funny. How he just nailed facial expressions. How, this was a pleasure to be seen. There was a lot of confidence between Adam and writers and trying to make this ridiculous and give them some roads with their lines and how we would do things, and they nailed them.
“I thought Xander was absolutely laughing and killed him absolutely.”
