Hello, friends, and welcome to today’s edition of Rogers report! I just got in the course after following Megha Ganne’s stellar round (more for him later) and finished a beautiful Italian lunch here in the Retreat Champions. Has been a random day in Augusta’s national amateurBut just if you want to catch on Tuesday in Augusta, you can click here.
Tuesday’s chairman’s dinner
While I was cooking some tacos for dinner at our naked Airbnb on Tuesday evening (I would not recommend shredding vegetables without a cutting board), the national women’s national participants were enjoying a very, much more fascinating evening. They crossed the tournament threshold in Augusta National for a dinner organized by Chairman Fred RidleyAnd to the amazement of absolutely no one seemed perfect.
When I was age, most of these young women are, I just hoped to go to the college dining room to get something – everything! – to eat before it is closed. Not gals in anwa, however. They gathered, spent some time on the lawn back CLUB (which is the undisputed place No.1 across the golf) and then sat with the chairman for a private dinner.
Ridley served crab cocktail with Louis sauce as a snack, followed by Mignon fillets and King salmon for the entrance. They had baked broccolin and beet puree with fluid AND white butter.
And for the most important part of the meal (dessert), there was a passionate white chocolate fruit cake and strawberry cream, as well as sorbet with passion fruit. I’m all with every meal that includes ice cream or sorbet, so this seemed like the perfect way to make bells in one of the best weeks in Golf.
Wednesday in the withdrawal of champions
When I arrived at the Champions Retreat for Round 1 of the national women’s amateur Augusta on Wednesday, the first thing I noticed was how many young players were there. Girls of all ages were dressed in their favorite golf clothes to see the women they seek to convey it to one of the most special tours of the year.
Wherever I returned, the players were greeted by the new fans, signing hats and flags for them and saying greetings to the parents who brought their daughters to take all actions. So fun to see that young girls fall in love with real -time game, and reminded me of how lucky I’m working at this event. I was one of those young girls on a very moon tour ago, and it was thanks to the kindness of women on the field that gave me the time of day that my interest in the game began.
I also have to give a proper shout to clients here at Augusta’s national amateur. They were dressed in nine today and it made me very teased to see all the dresses in masters next week. This is really the two most trendy golf weeks.
Megha Ganne
There is a woman who everyone speaks of this afternoon, and for a good reason. Megha Ganne fired a nine under 63 in her opening round on Wednesday. The young man in Stanford made seven (!) Birds and an eagle on Wednesday while his mother, sister and many others watched.
Ganne was a finalist four times in The Drive, Chip and Putt, and this is her fifth time playing in the national amateur of Augusta women, so it’s certain to say she knows around. I dug through the archives and found some photos of Ganne from Drive, Chip and Putt 2015, where she competed in the 10-11-year-old Division.
Megha Ganne fired a 9-year-old in the national amateur of women Augusta today.

Not only Ganne is great in Golf, too is a great interview.
Here’s what she had to say about the national amateur of Augusta women on Wednesday afternoon:
“I think it’s the most exciting week in amateur golf, MEN or women, the period, in my opinion. I think everyone in golf knows about it. They may not know about some other tours, but when that is happening, people are allocated.”
I think Ganne is absolutely right, and I can’t wait to follow her game for the rest of the week and beyond.
My favorite junction of the week
As I moved through my food on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon, I was expecting to see much of what I usually see: Golf. And for the most part, it was. Until I got up in a post by Jimmy Buffett and two surfers.
Scarlett Schremmer was the last woman in the field this week, and she can also be more interesting. Before the golf, she won a national championship in Surfing. And her mother’s best friend was Jimmy Buffett.
“He and my mother have been the best friends for a very long time. He simply had such a positive impact on my life and my sister and my mother’s life. He sings a song called ‘Come on Monday,’ and it’s like, you know, for a golf player, I think it goes well, because on Monday everything will be well, you just have to do you and you just have to do you and you just have to do it and you just have to do it and you do you do it you and you do you do it you do and you do you do you. that it can be fine. ” will continue. ‘Things not always go on your way, but if you are alive and healthy, many things are going on your way. And just to see the way he really suffered at the end of his life had a really great impact on me and that still, you know. It makes me a little exciting to speak, but it has not just been really great and made me much more grateful for what I have and my family and all the people I have been blessed to be around. “
