Former Indian National Cricket Team cricketer Dinesh Karthik has spoken about Suryakumar Yadav’s possible move to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The cricketer-turned-commentator did not give any clues but said he would be surprised if the development happened.

It has been reported that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have offered Suryakumar Yadav. The franchise is keen to get the India T20I captain through a trade and is even ready to give him the captaincy of the team for the upcoming editions of the league.
Reports have claimed that Kolkata Knight Riders are interested in trading Shreyas Iyer for Suryakumar Yadav.. The Indian National Cricket Team T20I captain has been an integral part of Mumbai Indians since 2018 and has been one of the best batsmen in the league ever since.
During an interaction on Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik was asked about the possibility of Suryakumar Yadav going to Kolkata Knight Riders. In response, the goalkeeper said that he would be very surprised if this move happened in the league. He said:
“I would be very surprised at anything I could tell you.”

Dinesh Karthik was also asked to pick the toughest bowler he faced. The keeper immediately mentioned Lasith Malinga’s name and said he would never be able to read it. He also mentioned Steve Harmison as saying that it was difficult for him to sing the lanky pacer. He said:
“First, Lasith Malinga. I could never have picked him. He was saying right in front of the umpire that you have to have a tough time. Then Stephen Harmison. A nightmare again. There’s a very high, steep bounce and it was always on your throat.
Dinesh Karthik played 26 Tests, 94 ODIs and 60 T20Is between 2004 and 2022 and was part of some of the team’s major victories. He made his ODI debut against England at Lord’s at the age of 19 and has seen Indian cricket grow by leaps and bounds since then.
The wicket-keeper scored 1025 runs in Tests, 1725 runs in ODIs and 686 runs in T20Is. He also won the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup with India. Karthik has played 257 matches in the IPL, scoring 4,842 runs at an average of 26.32.
