Odyssey has added two new models to their Square 2 square lines of Stroke Balance PuttersAnd they will make people talk.
As a refreshing, Odyssey discovered the first three models of the 2 square square last fall. These newly balanced stroke setmen were zero-Çift Rotary versions of the three classic Odyssey models: The Jailbird, seven and double wide.

In addition to being balanced in strokes, new S2s Max 1 and Max Stripe Models include other Odyssey Putter Owner Technologies such as Ai-Our Insert and Bast Lab Lab. These auxiliary technologies are involved in value increase and give these new models a special Odyssey.
In fact, almost all aspects of S2s Max 1 and Max Stripes are characterically odyssey.
All except one.
S2s Odyssey Max 1 and Max Stripe.

My usual approach to covering a new putter release is to explore technologies and then dive into the features of new models. I will go with an abbreviated version of this plan today, and then go to the begging question.
As I mentioned above, Odyssey Max 1 and Max Stripe are both balanced strokes. Odyssey eliminates torque by positioning the putter in the center of gravity. Since the putter is balanced around the axis, it will not return in any direction, even when it swings.
Both models are very stable, Having MOI values over 6300.

The difference between the S2S Max 1 and S2S max bar is one of the extension. Max 1 has a short stretch line on the front edge. Stripe Stripe with the right name contains a large ribbon below the center of the putter, visually in accordance with the 90 version of Odyssey.
While this extension change does not seem important, I would suggest that you roll both models to see how both schemes affect your placement. You will probably notice a change in target.
By the way, how cute are those wings with texture? They exalt general cosmetics, and that part of the opposite structure shifts the visual focus to the center of the putter.

I was sure I would prefer the maximum bar, but it was a maximum of 1 that entered my bag. Although they are exactly the same size, the big strip makes the maximum strip look bigger for me. This is not a good or bad thing, just a strange observation.

Most importantly, I went with Max 1 because I was more accurate with it. This was somewhat shocking as I am normally a big fan of Versa 90’s view. Jailbird mini versa 90 ch It is one of my favorite 2025 favorite placeers.

I was surprised that the smallest scheme of the max 1 stretch was more effective for me. Maximum strips were great for overall proximity but Max 1 delivered more precise targets.
It took me a second, but I quickly realized that the stretch scheme at the S2S max 1 is very similar to the stretch scheme in my Golf DF3 laboratory, and that the discovery brings us to controversy.
Did Odyssey Lab Golf copy?

When I saw Odyssey Max 1 leaked pictures on the Internet a few months back I was sure they were generated. Someone was trying to remove golf-iVerte by making a Odyssey a putter to look like Lab Golf Force run 3.
It was the perfect time for some trolling after Odyssey had just rolled their square in the Square line a few months ago.
As it turned out, the picture was not generated by him, and was not trolling. Odyssey actually built a stack that is very similar to DF3.
It is not identical, but it is difficult to ignore the similarities, especially when comparing the perimeter of the locals.
Innovation or emulation?

In the Dutter business, there are two trails for selling putters: innovation and emulation.
The way to innovation is much harder. Coming with the other Consider, spider, 2 ball, Sweet HOLE, Hot white insertionAnd so it is not an easy task. Yeardo year we see interesting forms and innovative technologies associated with new putter omissions. Most forms and technologies have been abandoned next year for something else.
Novelty is a dangerous road. If you make a new design that does not sell, your company’s bills go to collections.

It is fiscally more secure and profitable for a company to draw interpretations of proven putter models.
Customers know its proven model and record. Brand loyalists become pleased that their favorite company has made a version of that popular putter. In other words, the company sells putters.
Where are you going with this? That’s how I see the Max/DF3 situation. Like Newport is the Scotty Cameron version of Ping Anser, S2s Max 1 is the Odyssey Lab Golf DF3 version.
I’m sure the Lab Golf was not very excited when they first saw Odyssey Max. Perhaps they took a pride in the fact that #1 on Golf Odyssey Leviathan liked their model enough to make a version of it.
Maybe not.
The difference this time is that previous Square 2 Square models were Odyssey forms, making competition with Lab Golf Technology focused.
Now the competition is eventually Putter Vs Putter.
Could this be a good thing?

Your high school gym teacher told you that competition is good for you. Can it be correct that he wise the whistle?
Think about it for a second. Are there versions of ping anser there that are better than the original ping anser?
Of course there are. When other companies made their versions of the Anser, they increased their changes and curves, and sometimes they actually improved in the original.
One of my cool dead handters is ping custom my custom, and that putter is likely not to exist if Bettinard/Cameron would not make ground versions of the original Ping design.
Do I say that the Golf DF3 lab is anser zero torque? I don’t know if I’m ready to go so far but Odyssey making max 1 and max stripe tells me they see values in exploring shape.
Will Odyssey Max 1 and Max Stripe Lure LURE LAB LABE LABE?

I’ve had my purple DF3 golf in my bag for a while now. Will I make the transition to S2S max 1?
To answer this, let’s talk about sporks.
For without initiating, a spork is a combination of a spoon and a fork. Somewhere along the way I realized that sporks were the last tools of the camps. Almost all your swallowing needs can be met with a plastic spork. From that discovery ahead, my camp box contained a bag of sporks.
Some summer ago, I bought a spork titanium. It is easy, and almost unbreakable. As such, I no longer pack plastic sporks. Plastic sporks are completely functional, but titanium sporka is a nutrient of the next facial level.

This is how I think the owners of DF3 will see Odyssey Max 1. Max 1 is a place really, really good and plays very similar to my DF3.
Odyssey Max are excellent sporks. They are completely functional and do a great job on the table.
If you already have an order -equipped titanium, however, you are likely to be firm.
Odyssey S2s Max will be a thing

My taking from all this is that Odyssey is taking the zero Torque market very seriously. 2 Square Square Jailbird and seven are selling in large numbers, especially in places where the Golf laboratory has a limited, or marketless presence.
Issuing Square 2 Square Max 1 and Max Stripe are open Salvos across the Golf Laboratory and other companies seeking to be positioned as players in this new Putter category.
The only valuable criticism of these new Odyssey locals is that they look like the DF3 PUTTER of the lab. If this angry you, stand by your principles and do not buy one.
That hill can be difficult to die. These are high-quality, solid decisors that perform zero-torn. They are more than the TEMU copies of DF3.
(Have you seen those atrocities of the temple by the way? Oof.)

Odyssey has raised the price in original Square models 2 Square from $ 299 to $ 349. MSRP in Max 1 and Max bar will be $ 399. The increased cost is likely due to the increase in production costs and tariffs.
This price increase reduces one of the main points of square sales of Odyssey 2 Square: lower pricing.
When they first started, the 2 Square Putters Square were $ 150 cheaper than Stock Lab Putters. Now the change is only $ 50.
It will be interesting to see if Odyssey can catch the same market with $ 399 they made with $ 299.
