Did Keegan Bradley make the right Ryder Cup decision?

US Cup Ryder Keegan Bradley finished his team With the six captain’s election he announced on Wednesday, and most were shocked when they learned that Bradley did not choose himself (despite sitting in 11th place). After all, Bradley said the six elections played their way to the team, and just acting as a captain is the best for SH.BA did he make the right decision? And was there more than that?

Josh Sens, elderly writer (@Jossens) :: I’m not sure if it was right or wrong, but it was definitely disappointing, as it deprived the event of another plot and this is supposed to be fun, right? But it is also an understandable action. Choosing himself, Bradley risked going out as if he were coming over the team. He also seemed to be really convinced that multiplying this kind would hurt more than he would help.

Josh Schrock, news editor (@Schrock_and_Awe) :: Did he make the right decision for the team? Maybe it is impossible to know if it is possible to be a successful captain playing, but I think the decision not to choose yourself will galvanize the 12 boys in a way that rarely seems to be the case for Americans. Now, was Bradley’s decision the right thing for the golf itself? I think no. The Ryder Cup is the biggest golf event every two years, and having it as a captain playing would have generated even more buzzing for a sport trying to increase visibility.

Josh Berhow, managing editor (@Josh_berHow) :: This thing has so many layers but I think he made the right decision for squad. He could have contributed as a player, safe, but I think there is something to say about the placement of other boys and the message he sends to them. Maybe it’s the necessary motivation. Maybe it makes Keegan free to focus on other things. Undoubtedly removes a big scenario and a distraction – and a little of fun.

Some argued that Bradley should have called his name anyway, as his game has been quite good, he has history on the course, and because it would add juice to an exhibition event that did not have an captain playing in over 60 years. What do you think?

Sense: I think this is a valuable argument. However, more than anything, I wish Bradley had chosen himself because it would have been a chance to demitologize the role of Ryder Cup captain. Everyone in Golf -Fans, players, media alike – talk about the work as if they require training, sophistication and timely engagement of brain operation. I refuse to believe that everything is so complicated. It is a pleasure to tell stories of how Pod Paul Azinger’s Pod was genius, or how Hal Sutton destroyed everything by pairing Phil and Tiger, etc. This is massive fun, after all. It depends largely on those kinds of narratives. Safe some captains decisions matter. But is it really so complex? Six players automatically qualify. You choose the other six that are playing well and then presenting couples. The rest descends on which the team best deals with pressure and more stroke holes. This is my long way to say that I am sure that Bradley could have dealt with double task, as certainly as he can walk and chew gum.

Schrock: As stated above, I agree that it would add juice to the event. But this is not a reason for him to choose himself. He should have chosen himself because he is one of the 12 best American players, and if he were not the captain, he would be on the team. The event will have all the fluid needed, but a little extra is never hurt.

Berhow: No matter how cute it was to see a captain of the US Ride Games, it is very impossible that Keegan would have played more than twice. Three times absolute maximum. But beyond that, the Ryder Cup, as a diploma, brings the casual golf fan. And that’s just an assumption, but I bet a good number of them don’t care at all or don’t understand the importance of a game captain. So I really don’t believe we have lost that lot of juice.

Which team has The best chance to win: This current, with Bradley as Captain, or Bradley How playing captain with one of the six choices (get your choice) out of the squad?

Sense: Neither Europeans would have a stronger team on paper in the same way.

Schrock: I guess having bradley on the team would give Americans a better blow to win. But, as a sense, I think Europe is better on paper.

Berhow: I think the team with Keygan playing had the best chance to win because he has been great this year and is the exact type of player you want in the event. But Keegan is betting on choosing the right guys, not the best – to steal a line from Herb Brooks and “Miracle” – and that means that it focuses on being just a captain. As the captains get a lot of praise or guilt, it really comes down to which the team plays the best golf. Captain can help motivate or strategy a little, but these people are in favor. Go golf your ball. I will say that, though – I feel bad about Bradley. He could be playing this Ryder cup but a series of strange circumstances brought us to this. Got is a stroke to sit down, even if he thinks it’s the right call.

Which captain’s choice has the greatest pressure on themselves to perform in Bethpage Black?

Sense: The seductive response is Cameron Young, as he was 1) off the top 12 in the standings and 2) will play in his first cup in front of a crowd at home. But I would say Sam Burns, as he was partially chosen for his excellent placement, but also apparently because of his friendship with Scottie Scheffler. You have to find out that they will be paired in some of the team matches. And if a couple presenting the number 1 player in the world is forgiven, it is not difficult to understand where the blame will fall.

Schrock: It’s burning. We know well together Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley, so if she is interrupted, so burns and scheffler can play together, then burns should perform. Also, it seems to me that Bradley’s choice was between himself and Burns, so don’t regret the captain to give up his dream Ryder Cup.

Berhow: Why not Patrick Cantlay? He was the conversation of the 2023 Ryder Cup, And you know the scenario will come back to Bethpage. He was also the 15th in the rankings (between young people and burns), so Bradley had to get to get it. Plus, he has not played his best in major events this year – he lost his last three cuts of the season.

Sense: The New Ridge Ridge remodelled in Livermore, Calif., Is not a complete sleep, given his status as a sister course for Poppy Hills in Monterey. But it is on the quiet outer edges of the breast area, and is a really scary course. Jay Blasi took the best land out of the three nine existing to create an 18 friendly with all kinds of interesting variety. Except afteratiemo. I don’t think there is a better course of public access within an hour by San Francisco, and the price is right (if you keep your handicap with the Golf Association in Northern California, you can play it under $ 100).

Schrock: I definitely didn’t play a ton of golf this summer. But as someone young in the Philadelphia area, I really liked Inniscrone. It’s a lot of fun. It is the first design of Gil Hanse and presents a difficult test. Not super sub-radar, but new to me!

Berhow: I’ve played Golf Little this year (but I participated in many 8U softball games) but I hope to explore the North Michigan golf next year. But, most importantly, did anyone else who had confidential to tour Tour Tour Tour? A work day’s miracle that we will never forget.
