Devin Haney’s sideline exchange with Theofimo Lopez during the Underdog

Devin Haney and Theofimo Lopez spoke briefly during the underdog on Thursday. The two fighters were in talk in Riyadh in August with a catching weight fight of 145 pounds, but TheOFIMO changed his mind about the fight.

On Thursday, Haney was sitting near Turki Alalshikh as he thought to Theofimo to come and talk to him. He may want to try in 2026 to start talks for a mega fight between them, provided Haney (32-0, 15 COs) on November 22, 2025 in Riyadh in his title challenge against the WBO Welterweight Champion, Brian Norman Jr.

The unlikely revival of 2026

When we look at the threat that Norman Jr. For Haney, it seems that a clash between Theofimo and Devin will happen soon. A bladder loss to Norman Jr. Will require Haney to be rebuilt, who knows how long it will last.

It will depend on how badly Norman Jr. hits him. If it is similar to how Brian jr. Struck his last opponent Jin Sasaka on June 19, it could be impossible for Haney to be renovated for a fight against theo to realize.

Theofimo does not have many wonderful options for big money fights, apart from Haney, Shakur Stevenson and possibly Ryan Garcia.

Lopez (22-1, 13 CO’s) negotiates with Shakur for a defense of his WBO Light Welterweight title. If that fight is fed, it will interest a lot of boxing fans. It would not be at the level of Saturday’s Canelo Alvarez against Terence Crawford match, as none of these guys have the kind of popularity.

A close comeback route

Haney’s career is in a dire situation, while coming back-to-back shows against Jose Ramirez and Ryan Garcia. Boxing Hall of Famer Tim Bradley suspects Haney on April 20, 2024, has PTSD of his loss of Kingry.

“With the way he fought, how scared he was,” Bradley said Fight Hub TV. ‘PTSD is a real thing in box. It’s a real thing, and that’s what I saw with Devin, and he saw him run around the ring. I was like ‘did this guy with (former sprinter) Usain Bolt? Who the hell did he train with? He runs in the ring as he is crazy. ”

Devin’s timid, tremendous performance against Ramirez at Turki’s Fatal Fury event on Times Square gave Bradley the belief that he was suffering from PTSD.

If Haney does have the condition, the question is whether he will ever be the fighter he was spiritually in the past. Some US military veterinarians still have decades after the end of the war PTSD. A non-pleasant, bang look can be a waste of time

Haney’s chances of Brian Norman jr. To defeat, is slim in November when he fights as he did against Ramirez.
