Devin Haney Recharge on 147 for Norman Jr.

Devin Haney says he’s going to fight even better at 147 against WBO swelling champion Brian Norman Jr. If he was at 140 and 135 when they met on November 22, 2025.

Haney (32-0, 15 food) said it was difficult to make 140, and he felt ‘Exhaust“At the last time he fought against Ryan Garcia on April 20, 2024. He mentions that he felt better when he fought Jose Ramirez on a 144 -pound catch in May last year.

Norman Jr. ‘s power -threatening

It may not matter that Haney will feel stronger at 147, because his chin will be the problem in this struggle. If he can’t handle Norman’s push, he will still have just as many problems as he fought at 140 when Kingry hit him.

Haney will Norman jr. (28-0, 22 food) For his WBO belt in the fellow Feature slot on the David Banavidez against Anthony Yarde card challenged on November 22 at the Anb Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event is displayed directly on Dazn PPV.

Undercard fights on November 22

  • Devin Haney vs. Brian Norman Jr.: WBO 147-Pond Title on the line
  • Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez against Fernando Martinez
  • Abdullah Mason vs. Sam Noakes: Vacant WBO lightweight title at stake
  • Artur Bererbiev vs. Deon Nicholson
  • Subriel Matias vs. Dalton Smith: Matias defends his WBC 140-pound title

Will Haney deliver or fold?

“When I fought at 144, I felt super well, and I think at 147, I’m going to feel even better – an even better version. When I first went up to 140, you saw a much better version than I was at 135. I think it’s going to be the same at 147, ‘Devin Haney told Box newsand said that he was going to be stronger with the full weight at welter weight than in his catch at 144 and when he fought at 140.

The reality is that Haney was not a better fighter at 140 than at 135. He was worse in my opinion. It may seemed temporary as if Devin was better because he fought the 35-year-old regis Prograis in his first fight. He has taken off in his career since he fought Danielito Zorrilla on June 17, 2023.

In Haney’s second fight at 140, he lost to Ryan Garcia. Based on that, I would say that Devin did not improve after coming from lightweight to light welter weight. Haney was dropped by Ryan three times in that fight and was injured several times by his powerful left hook.

At 147 it is likely to be worse for Haney, starting with his title challenge against Norman Jr. On November 22. Almost everyone has power in this weight class, and there is no way Devin can avoid fighting against them. He cannot continue to fight as he did against Jose Ramirez, to run the ring, because fans will not manage it.

Turki Alalshikh wants action

“We have to see. Styles make fights. You don’t all fight the same, ‘Haney said when asked if he would go against Norman Jr. more. Due to the No Tom and Jerry meetings of Turki Alalshikh on his Riyadh season.

I’m sure Turki will be very happy to put Haney in another Jerry-Esque performance if he prefers to fight in the style he did against Jose Ramirez earlier this year at the fatal Fury event on May 2, 2025, at Times Square in New York.

If Haney runs all night, Turki will have to take this into account when his contract with the Riyadh season for renewal emerges. It would be the second fight in a row in which he fought in a safety first way.

If Devin is going to fight like that, it may not be worth it for Alalshikh to invest in a re -broadcast with Ryan Garcia. He will have to accept that this is how Haney will choose to fight Ryan, and it is not a style that will play well with fans.

There are entertaining fighters who can match Turki against Kingry with welter weight that does not run around the ring. These are some examples:

  • Shakhram Giyasov
  • Theofimo lopez
  • Raul Curiel
  • Rohan Polanco
