Left-arm spinner Shams Mulani stumped left-armer Devdutt Padikkal with an absolute peach during the clash between India A and India D. The bowler dismissed India D player Devdutt Padikkal for a low score on the fourth and final day. An ongoing red ball match at Anantapur.
India D started the fourth day’s play at 62-1, Ricky Bhui (44) and Yash Dubey (15). India A made a breakthrough on the final day by dismissing Dubey for 37 runs. Bhui drove the ball to the bowler’s right, but it went outside Dubey’s bat. Shams Mulani quickly took the hostages.

Shams Mulani took the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal in the next over. The left-arm spinner delivered a full delivery over the line outside the off-stump and turned in sharply. Padikkal attempted to drive, but was beaten and dropped his leg stump. It was a poor knock from Padikkal which left India D on 105-3.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of Devdutt Padikkal’s dismissal on X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote: “Flight. Spin. Tree Padikkal 👌.”

Padikkal had an impressive knock in the first innings. The left-handed batsman scored 92 runs and runs off 124 balls with the help of 15 boundaries. However, India D did not get support from the other batting as they were bowled out for 183 runs. Mulani took a wicket for 50 runs in the first innings.
India A struggled after being asked to bat first. The Mayank Agarwal-led side lost five wickets for just 93 runs in 25 overs. However, Mulani and Tanush Kothian steadied the innings with half-centuries. They added 91 runs for the seventh wicket. Kotian was dismissed for 53 runs off 80 balls.
Mulani scored 89 runs off 187 balls which included eight boundaries and three sixes. The team struggled for 290 runs in 84 overssecond day .3 overs. Harshit Rana picked up four wickets for 51 runs. Vidhwath Kaverappa and Arshdeep Singh scored two goals each in the first innings of the match.
