The 2024 World Series has officially started.
This has become one of the most anticipated World Series in quite some time, mainly because it is a battle between two historic MLB teams.
The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers might be two of the biggest brands in sports, making this matchup a PR goldmine.
Many pundits, analysts and fans can’t stop talking about this series, including longtime Yankees ace Derek Jeter.
Younger fans may not remember Jeter’s impact on the game, but to older MLB fans, he is a legend, especially in New York City.
He has now transitioned into a career in broadcasting, and he recently made an announcement about his career, according to FOX Sports’ MLB X.
“I wouldn’t change anything about my career except to play in the Yankees-Dodgers World Series,” Jeter said.

Jeter just wishes he could be a part of a series like this because it’s a one-of-a-kind experience.
These teams have met in the World Cup before, but the length of time between that meeting and this one has added weight to this series.
There’s something special about what’s about to go down, a palpable energy that most fans seem to feel.
Jeter recognizes this, and while he’s comfortable in front of the camera and commenting on his new career, there still seems to be a part of him that wants him back on the field.
