The World Series continues as the New York Yankees trail the Los Angeles Dodgers by two games into Game 3.

Game 3 will shift the series to New York after the first two games at Dodger Stadium.

The Yankees find themselves in a tough spot as Game 3 appears to be a must-win for them to get back in the series.

Ahead of their first World Series home game, one Yankees legend will be honored before the game begins.

According to FOX Sports. MLB’s “X,” former Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 3.

Jeter, otherwise known as The Captain, played all 20 seasons of his baseball career for the Yankees before retiring after the 2014 season.

His career stats include 3,465 hits, 260 home runs, 1,311 runs and an .817 on-base plus slugging percentage.

Jeter won five World Series titles with the Yankees in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2009.

The Yankees will look to break their streak in Game 3, having managed just five total runs in the first two games of the series.

Walker Buehler will take the mound for the Dodgers to face the Yankees’ Clark Schmidt.

The Yankees need a win to avoid a three-game losing streak and make it four games in a row to clinch the World Series.

The switch to playing in front of their home fans just might be the spark the Yankees need to get things going in the series.
