Carlos Alcaraz played the second set of his loss at the ATP Finals Jannik the Sinner with right thigh up.
After his 7-6(4), 7-5 loss to second-ranked Sinner in Turin today, Alcaraz said the foot problem was not a contributing factor in his loss.

The world number 1 said he also plans to travel to Bologna in the hope of representing Spain in next week’s Davis Cup final 8.
“Overall, I think it was a great plan that I made today,” Alcaraz told media in Turin. “That’s why I’m very happy with the level and the performance I did today, because I think not
a lot of things are wrong, which is great.
“But yes, Davis Cup, yes, I’m leaving for Bologna tomorrow.”
Captain David Ferrer aims to lead Spain to its seventh Davis Cup championship and first since 2019. Spain will play the Czech Republic in the Davis Cup quarter-finals on Thursday, November 20, so Alcaraz has three days to recover.
Defending US Open champion Alcaraz appeared to strain his right hamstring for a comeback. Before the start of the second set, Alcaraz called the trainer who taped his right thigh.
Afterwards, Alcaraz said he adopted a more aggressive approach to the match, not because of his injury, but because he felt a change was needed at that point in the match.
“Well, I didn’t change the plan because of the injury,” said Alcaraz. “I changed it because I felt I had it
to do something else. I’m trying to be as aggressive as possible on the field every game, but especially I think even more. against Jannik. Whenever I can, I just try to move forward.
“It works, to be honest, because I was a split. I was serving well. That game I think it was 3-2, I don’t actually remember, but in the middle of the second set, I was in the game. A few mistakes I shouldn’t have made, to be honest.”
