Known for his extensive coaching experience in domestic T20 leagues, Badani is looking forward to collaborating with the coaching staff as they prepare for the mega auction and the tasks ahead.

The new head coach expresses enthusiasm for the challenge ahead
Badani expressed his gratitude for joining Delhi Capitals, thanking his owners for the trust they have shown. He admitted the upcoming mega-auction was a major focus and looked forward to working with the coaching staff to begin his role.
“It is a great honor for me to join Delhi Capitals and I am deeply grateful to our owners for entrusting me with this job. As the mega auction approached, my collaboration with the rest of our coaching staff was interrupted. I can’t wait to get started”, Badani said in a franchise release.
Meanwhile, Rao’s promotion reflects the franchise’s faith in his cricketing knowledge and leadership abilities. As the director of cricket, he will play an important role in overseeing the strategic direction of the team, especially in the lead up to the new IPL era.
“I have been associated with the franchise for a long time and I am grateful for the confidence our owners have shown in me by offering me this role. I am looking forward to this new challenge ahead of the new IPL erasaid Rao.
Proven success in T20 leagues
Having enjoyed considerable success in various domestic T20 circuits, Badani’s coaching credentials are well established. Badani was the head coach of the team Chepauk Super Gilliesa winning franchise Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) won the title three times under his leadership. His familiarity with the dynamics of T20 cricket is expected to bring a fresh approach to Delhi Capitals’ strategies.
