Fighters talk before June 7 showdown
Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 food) captured the WBO crown in February by dissolving Denys Berinchyk in four rounds three months after stopping Gustavo Lemos in front of 10,568 fans in the same scope arena. Now he returns home determined to prove that the victory was not a wave.
Edwin de Los Santos (16-2, 14 COs) built a reputation as a heavy-handed Dominican Slugger. His only two losses were against the top competition, and he entered Norfolk confidently that he could surprise Davis on the enemy grass.
Abdullah Mason (18-0, 16 costs), the 21-year-old lightweight phenoma in the 10-round co-function, consider it his statement: “I’m ready to show the world why they call me a future champion,” Mason said.
