David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, among others named in the BBL|14 Team of the Tournament



Ongoing Team of the Tournament Big Boss League (BBL) 2024-25 was announced. Eight BBL coaches have selected a special team featuring some of the top performers who have shone in the competition with their high consistency.

David Warner will lead special teams

Two players cut from BBL|14 finalists Hobart Hurricanes: Mitchell Owen and Tim David. Leading scorer Cooper Connolly Perth Scorchers also earned a place in the team. Sydney Thunder’s David Warner While being selected as the captain of this particular team Sam Billings assumes the role of goalkeeper. The second highest run-getter in the tournament, Warner brings his wealth of experience and leadership to the squad, adding further depth to his squad.

Notably, five of the squad’s 12 members are still in the hunt for the title in BBL|14 as the Sixers take on the Thunder in their first-ever BBL final (Challenger) Sydney derby clash at the SCG on Friday. The thrilling contest will see both teams battle it out for a place in the finals, with the winner advancing to meet the Hurricanes in the highly-anticipated title contest on Monday.
