Arsenal showcased plenty of young talent in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup win against Bolton and David Ornstein has named who he believes is the next big talent to emerge from the club’s academy.
After last weekend’s draw against Manchester City, Mikel Arteta made multiple changes against Bolton and gave the youngsters a number of opportunities to impress in the first team.
Ethan Nwaneri grabbed the headlines when he scored twice, but Myles Lewis-Skelly also featured along with 16-year-old goalkeeper Jack Porter.
Ornstein highlights Dowman as Arsenal’s next big talent
Arsenal’s academy has produced a number of brilliant players over the years, with Bukayo Saka the star player.
The Gunners sold academy graduates Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah this summer, while Reiss Nelson left the club on loan.
However, there appears to be plenty of talent at the Hale End with Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly knocking on the door for more regular first-team opportunities.

However, Ornstein is already looking further ahead and has highlighted who he believes is the next big talent in Arsenal’s academy and that is Max Dowman.
“On this one, it really felt like it was Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly,” he said Sky Sports Back Pages Podcast.
“But tonight, and on the bench in Europe against Atalanta and even Manchester City, we started to see a few more.
“There is an absolutely outstanding talent at Arsenal, one of the best in the country in Max Dowman. And we’ll see a bit more of that in recent years.”
Given that Dowman is only 14, he is at least two years away from the first-team squad, but he is already making a name for himself as he became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the Uefa Youth League and has already been summoned to England. -17 team
It certainly looks like Dowman is a player to keep an eye on and one that Arsenal fans could see a lot more of in the coming years.
