The Los Angeles Dodgers won their eighth World Series title in franchise history by defeating the New York Yankees in five games.
After dropping the series to three games to zero, the Dodgers lost Game 4 and appeared to be on the verge of losing Game 5 after falling behind 5 to 0 at one point.
On paper, the series looked like an easy win for the Dodgers, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed his honest thoughts on Game 5 of the series.
“I was so scared to go back to Los Angeles for Game 6,” Roberts said.

The Dodgers were on the verge of making the wrong side of MLB history in Game 5 when they fell 5 to 0 to the Yankees.
Of all the series in World Series history when a team has gone three games to zero, none of them have even reached a sixth game.
The Dodgers trailed the Yankees by five runs and it looked like the first series to go six games after taking a commanding three-game lead.
Roberts described his sense of urgency to win Game 5 because the pressure will be significantly greater if the series returns to Los Angeles for Game 6.
After falling behind by five runs, the Dodgers completed the comeback to win 7-6 and win the World Series title.
Many fans probably don’t realize that this series was close to making MLB history and could get very interesting if the Yankees can pull off a win in game five.
