Daniel Farke was handed a sack notice after a poor start to the season

Former Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness has claimed Daniel Farke could be sacked from Leeds United if he doesn’t turn things around soon.

After Leeds’ bitter disappointment last season, missing out on promotion to the Premier League after losing the play-off final, fans will no doubt see this as an all-or-nothing campaign for the club.

With several of his best players leaving in the summer transfer window, it has put manager Farke in a difficult position and his start to the season has shown that.

Leeds drew their first game of the season 3-3 in a thrilling game against Portsmouth before losing to Middlesbrough and drawing against West Brom.

After a rough start, the German manager settled into his side as they won three games on the bounce but still remain sixth in the table at the time of writing.

The pressure on Farke’s shoulder has grown rapidly as fans grow impatient at the prospect of another lost season without promotion.

talking with Football InsiderWyness has claimed that if the German coach does not turn things around before the next international break he could be in trouble.

“There’s a bad start to the season, the owners think they’re going to make a move, and the guy has another week of international rest to sleep in.” he said

“Expect big moves in the next international break if Farke hasn’t turned it around.”
