Leeds United are fighting for promotion but are yet to make a signing in the January transfer window.
But Whites boss Daniel Farke has provided the clearest indication of the areas he wants to strengthen if there were new names.
Indeed, Leeds are sitting at the top of the Championship table, but fans want to ensure that a Premier League return is all but sealed. And this, they feel, can be done in the winter window.
The Man United January transfer window is underway.
Farke has always approached the January transfer market with caution, but has begun to lift the lid on the type of profile he wants at the Yorkshire Club.
Ahead of Monday’s game against Burnley, Farke addressed the importance of strengthening, particularly in two positions that have been affected by recent injuries. In addition, some of its star names, Wilfried Gnonto, could be sold at the mid-point of the season.

The main technician said through the Yorkshire Night Post: “At the moment we have two fit attackers: Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph. would be outstanding to have Patrick Bamford available in full rhythm. He will be out for another two weeks. We will value the central and forward position.
“The rule is quite clear: the quality must be right, we will not just add a number. It must be a suitable quality and the character must fit the group, the attitude at the top level and the third is that the player is affordable Three things must come together to make a signing.
“If there is a solution, we will do it. I can rule that there is a player on January 31, or his club has agreed a transfer fee or a loan fee with four clubs, and he chooses who pays the highest salary, I don’t believe in that.
“I want the right quality and determination and fully committed to what we want to achieve here at Leeds United.”
