Daniel Dubois is determined to end Usyk’s unbeaten run against Brits

Daniel Dubois wants to “stop” the victories that Oleksandr Usyk has racked up against British fighters, hitting one after another and making it look easy. Usyk is 7-0 against the British and now looks unbeatable.

Can anyone stop Usyk?

It’s probably not a good idea for Dubois to mess with Usyk, as he’s already lost to him once with a ninth-round knockout on August 26, 2023. Losing a rematch would kill the momentum that he had destroyed since that terrible experience.

It would be smarter for Dubois to focus on trying to get a rematch with Anthony Joshua because it’s a winnable one, and it will pay big.

IBF heavyweight champion Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) thinks he is the one to end former undisputed two-division champion Usyk’s “luck”.

I don’t know why it bothers Dubois so much that Usyk beats his compatriots because they will lose to other fighters if they are willing to take them on. If you put Joshua or Fury in with Martin Bakole they will get beaten as bad or worse than Usyk did.

Dubois: The British Last Hope?

“I have been a contender for a long time. I’m a champion, and I want to move like a champion and take no prisoners. I want to go through Usyk like a train,” said Dubois.

The way Oleksandr dominated ‘The Gypsy King’; Tyson Fury made it clear in their rematch last month that he owns fighters from the UK and will continue to beat them until he gets old.

Fury, 36, looked aged in the rematch with Usyk, and it is no surprise that he was beaten. The first fight took something out of him and left him the weathered, worn fighter Usyk met last month. It was pathetic the spectacle Fury made of himself when he complained in the post-fight press conference that he won by three rounds. No words describe what a grumpy, poor sport he is.
