IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois prefers a rematch with the United Three Belt Champion Oleksandr Ulsyk in July at Wembley Stadium on the other options for its next fight.
USYK (23-0, 14 food) is a greater money fight for Dubois (27) than rescheduling the battle with Joseph Parker. Daniel was supposed to fight against him in Riyadh on February 22, but pulled out with a disease.
Despite his latest revival, Parker is not popular worldwide, and a match between Dubois and he would not arouse the same interest as a collision against USKyk.
Wembley Stage Vision
‘A big fight in July against USKyk. That’s what I want. The U.S. battle (at Wembley) would be like the AJ struggle, but much bigger, the biggest battle in the world, ‘Dubois said The ring.
It is doubtful whether a battle between Dubois and Ulsyk would be large enough for the promoters to book the 90,000-seat Wembley Stadium in London. It would be risky on their part because it could only be filled half or a quarter, and the organizers of the event would have wasted their money. If the fight occurs, it should be staged at a smaller venue, perhaps Wembley Arena.
Chisora: a waste of time
The other less-than-apparatus option for Dubois is to defend compulsively against its IBF Derek ChisoraWhat many fans feel does not deserve a title shot to the easy path he got his position by beating the unfortunate Otto Wallin and the best Joe Joyce.
Few fans want to see Dubois fighting against 41-year-old Chisora because the collision would be the equivalent to pay to see a one-round slaughter.
It will not be fair to the people who order it on PPV or buy tickets unless you enjoy watching fast knockouts in fighting that have no business. The IBF would do fans and do Dubois a great favor if they change that Chisora is mandatory and someone like Agit Kabayel inserted in his place.
Dubois (22-2, 21 costs) wants to knock the ninth round that he suffered two years ago on August 26, 2023 in Wroclaw, Poland, against Usyk. Many fans felt that Dubois had been robbed that he was knocking out a fifth round when he dropped usk with a body shot. He stayed on the canvas and recovered from the shot, which the referee decided as a low blow.
