On a fighting card that is with Jermall Charlo and Caleb plant, Rising Star Prospect Curmel Moton will compete on the bottom map, as he will face the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night, May 31.
Curmel Moton is a wonderful child who has all the tools, and he is also mature out of his years. He has been a professional boxer for about a year and a half, and he gradually makes the transition from prospects to contender.
When Gvonta “Tank” Davis was a star on the rise, while trained in the Mayweather gym, you could always see a young child in the background. Now that Davis has separated from Mayweather promotions, the child has become the face of the business.
As an amateur, Curmel Moton put a record of (144-6), and he won 18 national titles. He made his pro-debut in September 2023 when he defeated Ezequiel Flores through the first round of TKO.
After scoring two first round wins in his first two fights, Moton reached the distance in his third game when he achieved a decision on Anthony Cuba. Moton would continue to start a new knockout, as he stopped his last four opponents.
Now the 18-year-old Curmel is “Big Deal” Moton (7-0, 6 COs) ready to step back into the square circle and make a statement. Moton wants to make a statement because he embraced the role of the franchise player.
After Gervonta Davis renounced his franchise position within the company, Mayweather promotions continued to move forward with a youth movement. The youth movement contains the signatures of young fighters destined to be future world champions.
In addition to Curmel Moton, the revamped Mayweather contains promotions roast names such as 18-year-old Joseph “The Prodigy” Brown, 21-year-old Jurilla “The Gorilla” Vargas and 22-year-old John “Candyman” Easter.
As the current franchise player for Mayweather promotions, Curmel Moton is a top-judged prospect that the other top prospects want to fight, but he understands that he has to stay patient and take it one battle at a time.
Currently, Moton is locked on his 31 May opponent. Once outside Mastrapa, he will draw his attention to the other top prospects on his radar.
During an interview with Sean Zittel, Curmel Moton said he wanted all the smoke after his fight on May 31. The names on Moton’s hit list include Amado Vargas (13-0, 6 food), Abel Mendoza (42-0, 31 food) and Giorgio Visioli (7-0, 6 COs).
