CSK falls to No. 3: Updated brand value ranking of all IPL teams

RCB’s brand value stands at $269 million, an impressive 18.5% growth, representing the largest increase among all franchises.

The team’s first-ever IPL title, coupled with an expanding global digital footprint and record-breaking fan engagements, propelled them to the top.

Under the leadership of Rajat Patidar, RCB has turned years of years into a measurable brand power. The victory parade in Bengaluru, which drew more than half a million fans, highlighted the growing popularity and commercial strength of the franchise.

Mumbai Indians are holding strong at No.2

Despite RCB’s meteoric rise, Mumbai Indians (mi) It continues to hold its place as one of Cricket’s strongest brands, taking second place with a value of $242 million.

Backed by Reliance industries, MI’s success is driven by strategic sponsorship, commercial excellence and consistent field performance. Their 19% annual growth reflects stability and adaptation, even increasing competition.

CSK are down to third for the first time in nearly a decade

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)regarded as one of the most iPl teams, dropped to third place for the first time in almost a decade. Their brand value only saw a marginal rise to $235 million, representing an increase of just 1.7% – the slowest among the top three franchises.

Analysts attribute this to a down-to-earth IPL 2025 campaign and the reduction of MS Dhoni, who gets a limited playing role this season.

However, CSK’s fan loyalty, strong legacy under Ruturaj Gaikwad and a stable team continue to make them one of the most trusted brands in world cricket.

Kings of Punjab lead as the fastest growing franchise

Among the rising franchises, Punjab Kings (PBK) recorded the highest brand value growth – a staggering 39.6% growth over last year.

Credit goes to a revitalized management strategy led by Bollywood actress Preity Triite Zinta and an invigorating leadership by a young, energetic cast led by Shreyas Iyer.

IPL’s total brand value soars in 2025

The ecosystem of the Indian Premier League continues its impressive upward trajectory.
The league’s total business valuation reached $18.5 billion, with brand value alone increasing 13.8% to $3.9 billion.

This growth is largely driven by lucrative media rights deals, global streaming partnerships and record levels of fan engagements in the 2025 season.
