This is my daily chat #RunBlogRun viewers and follow fans on everything track and field. We go LIVE Monday-Saturday at 10am US Central Time

2. It #StanfordInvite! It’s an early season of great athletics. Some good high school events, lots of distances. BYU whole, and Jane Hedengren ran 30:46.80, A new NCAA record for the 10,000 meters in a closely contested race where the top two lapped the field.

5. Looking forward Jeff Benjamin receives RRCA journalism Prize: for his amazing coverage of sports on our platforms; American Athletics, American track, RunningNetwork:and: RunBlogRun. Congratulations Jeff! Jeff will receive his award on April 11.

6. The Arcadia Invite is this weekend (April 11), the Boston Marathon on April 20, and the London Marathon on April 26.

Jeff Benjamin and Frank Shorter, gold medalists at the 1972 Munich Olympics and silver medalists at the 1976 Montreal Olympics, were among the nominees for the Jeff Award.

  • Larry Eder has been involved in athletics for 52 years. Larry has experienced sports as an athlete, coach, magazine publisher, and now a journalist and blogger. His first article, about Don Bowden, America’s first 4-minute miler, was published in RW in 1983. Larry has published several magazines on athletics, from USA Track and Field to the American version of Spikes magazine. He currently leads content and marketing development for RunningNetwork, The Shoe Addicts, and RunBlogRun.
