2. #RunBlogRun visited Mesa, Arizona #NXR: Southwest weekend regional crossover. 3500 runners and a morning of inspired running reminded me of the power of cross stones.

4. Congratulations to Jackson Spencer who won the Boys Champs 5k in 14:31.1 and Lily Alder who won the Girls Champs 5k in 16:36.1 and to all 3,498 other runners who made NXR Southwest a spectacle.
5. Special thanks to NIKE club #SwooshTC members who answered my question and were quite grateful. Finally, I got to meet Woody Kincaid, what a great guy. We talked about meeting Frank Shorter.
6. Special thanks to Liam Murphy, Parker Wolfe, Ethan Strand, Drew Bosley, Maggie Condon, Youssef Bizimani, Elise Stearns, Abdi Noor, as well as visiting athlete Mo Ahmed for their advice and just taking the time to support the 3,500 high schoolers who absolutely dug it on Friday and Saturday. NIKE certainly got their sponsorship value in Mesa when I saw a young athlete thank a NIKE Swoosh athlete for slapping their hand before the race. He said it inspired him.

7. Congratulations to OK State and NC State for winning the men’s and women’s Div 1 NCAA Xc titles.
8. Congratulations to Habtom Samuel who won the men’s NCAA after two straight runner-up finishes and Doris Lemgol who won for the second straight time.
7. Jane Hedengren finished second in the women’s race and Rocky
Henson was second in the men’s race. Both were the first Americans.
8. Controversy on the men’s side, as some top athletes cut the course in several places, it was not only pretty blatant, but just, well, unsportsmanlike.
