13. Amby Burfoot, former RW editor, 1968 Boston Marathon champion, and one of the most thoughtful and conscientious writers in our sport, wrote this article about Ruth Czepngetich’s concerns at the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon WR Women’s WR- regarding posted on October 15, 2024). https://marathonhandbook.com/opinion-why-its-hard-to…/

14. RunBlogRun requested comment from both Athletics Integrity and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon regarding the drug testing protocols used with Ruth Chepngetich. We’ll turn to a few other experts to provide the full picture on the record. As a running journalism site, we need to look at both sides of any photo. The WR in Chicago was crazy as I called it, but to evaluate it we need to know if it is legal and questions about the amount of doping in Kenya are only natural.

16. Fantastic podcast from Des Linden and Kara Goucher, #NobodyAskedUS, Chicago Marathon, Recap, or Rampage. Episode 2.34. The podcast is well done, Cara and Des are great and give the viewer a great appreciation of the event through their eyes as, in one case, a former world class athlete (and World Champs medalist) and elite marathoner who won the Boston Marathon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWCB3DwXdjs
