2. It 2025 NYC Marathon had 59,662 starters and 59,226 finishers. This is a world record for marathon finishers.
3. There were 31,927 men graduates, 27157 females graduates, and 143 non-binary graduates. All three groups were records for the marathon.

5. 132 countries had runners in the New York City Marathon, all 50 statesDC, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and Guam were also represented.
6. Men’s Open Division ChampionBenson Kipruto, KEN, 2:08:09, won by .03 seconds. It’s the closest in the history of the race. Benson has now won 4 marathon majors: Boston, Chicago, Tokyo and now New York.
7. Women’s Open Division ChampionHelen Obiri and 2:19:51 (course record). Helen broke Margaret Coss’ 22-year-old record (and) in 2:22:3.

9. America’s Best Open Division WomenFiona O’Keefe, 4th, 2:22:49, fastest ever by an American woman at NYCM.
10. The top men in the US Open divisionJoel Reichow, 2:09:56, PB by 40 seconds, moved from 12th to sixth.
11. Marcel Hug won his seventh NYC Marathon and became a NYRR Streaker, meaning he has completed at least 15 New York City Marathons.
12. Susanna Scaroni clinched his third TCS NYC Marathon title and second consecutive victory in the Big Apple.
