Coffee with Larry December 8, 2025 The NIKE NXN verson 20 was impressive, Brooks’ inaugural XC is next weekend.

1. NIKE NXN was held on December 6, 2025 at Glendover Golf Course in Portland, Oregon.

2. Jackson Spencer was the winner in 15:01.1 and the Niwot Boys won the cross country team title with 61 points.

3. Nataza Dudek won the girls race in a very close race, 16:50.1 to Blair Bartlett’s 16:51.7, with Jaelyn Williams third in 16:58. Wayzata Girls won the Girls Champs race over Niwot.

4. The course was well laid out and the challenging leg, mud, hills and tension make for a great race.

5. Ross Crampley asked me about the courses if I liked the Portland Horse course, the original NXN and now the Glendoveer Golf Course.

6. The USATF events were held after NXN and the rain stayed away until the senior women’s race.

7. NXN Celebrates Team Cross Country. Brooks XC celebrates individuality.

  • Larry Eder has been involved in athletics for 52 years. Larry has experienced sports as an athlete, coach, magazine publisher, and now a journalist and blogger. His first article, about Don Bowden, America’s first 4-minute miler, was published in RW in 1983. Larry has published several magazines on athletics, from USA Track and Field to the American version of Spikes magazine. He currently leads content and marketing development for RunningNetwork, The Shoe Addicts, and RunBlogRun.
