3. A Kenyan member of parliament has demanded an apology from Robert Johnson to Ruth Chepngetich for her question about the cloud of doping in Kenyan sports. We think that Robert Johnson was absolutely right.

4. Many Kenyans are deeply upset by the accusations against Ruth Chepnegetich. Someone asked me if Ruth wasn’t white.

Amby Burfoot, former RW editor, 1968 Boston Marathon champion, and one of the most thoughtful and conscientious writers in our sport, wrote this article about Ruth Czepngetich’s concerns about the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon WR Women’s WR- regarding posted on October 15, 2024). https://marathonhandbook.com/opinion-why-its-hard-to…/

14. RunBlogRun requested comment from both Athletics Integrity and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon regarding the drug testing protocols used with Ruth Chepngetich. We will contact several other experts to provide a complete picture on the protocol. As a running journalism site, we need to look at both sides of any photo. The WR in Chicago was crazy as I called it, but to evaluate it we need to know if it is legal and questions about the amount of doping in Kenya are only natural.
