Coach Stephen Edwards says he doubts that a fight between Ryan Garcia and United Welterweight Champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis will take place. Edwards believes that Golden Boy Oscar de la Hoya and Bernard Hopkins know that Boots Ennis (34-0, 30 COs) is a ‘special talent’ and that he would be bad news for Kingry (24-1, 20 COs).
Stephen mentions that Ennis Ryan Garcia would beat with a ‘cruel knockout’ if they were fighting. Edwards is high on boots after his sixth round TKO victory over WBA Welterweight Champion Eimantas Stanionis earlier this month on April 12. He says that boots are “Sadistic” and would beat a fighter ”half to death ” If their angle does not pull them out like Stanionis.
Stanionis overwhelmed?
With the number of times Ennis played by Stanionis, he may not hold more than two or three rounds against Ryan Garcia. Having through Ryan’s left hook can fall asleep.
Stephen seems to form a large part of his view of Ennis based on his last action against the slow, easy -to -hit Rocky Balboa -CloneStanionis, rather than considering his previous fights against Karen Chukhadzhian. Karen yielded Ennis, ran out, exterminated and made him look bad before his fans in Philadelphia.
