Manchester United found itself at the beginning of its clash against Lyon after a free goal from Thiago Almada took advantage of a poor judgment of Andre Onana.
The French side was at the top of the 25th minute after Newsair Mazraoui granted a gentle foul on the right flank.
Almada got up to grab the piece and stormed in a delivery that floated everyone and stood at the back of the net, traping onana completely outside of guard.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper mistakenly made the flight of the ball, allowing it to bounce in the distant corner, a goal that seemed completely avoidable.

All eyes to Andre Onana after the war before the Word War with Nemanja Matic
The goal came to the worst possible time for Onana, who was already under the spotlight after his pre-party comments of the Word War with Nemanja Matic de Lyon.
Onana had suggested that the Manchester United was a better side than the French club, an observation that did not look good with the MATIC.
Matic, a former Manchester United player, hit again with a brutal jibe addressed to the goalkeeper, shouting “One of the worst goalkeepers in Man United History”. Said:
“You know, I respect everyone, but to say that you have to give the answer. If you are one of the worst goalkeepers in the story of Man United, you must be careful what you are talking about.”
“If you were Van der Sar, Schmeichel or Gea saying it, then I would question me. But you have to have coverage to say something like that.”
In response to Matic’s Jab, Onana came to X, denying any contempt for Lyon and shooting Montic, highlighting her Silverware victory with United, suggesting that not everyone can say the same, a clear excavation at the Serbian midfielder.
Despite the early mishap, Manchester United responded well and managed to equal before the pause for Lry Yoro, returning the game to 1-1 in the half.
