Derek Chisora (36-13, 23 costs) says he wants to challenge Oleksandr utility for his three heavyweight titles to the next after his 12-round victory over #12-ranked IBF contender Otto Wallin (27-3, 15 COs) In a title Eliminator for that belt on Saturday night in the Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester, England.
The scores were 114-112, 116-110 and 117-109. Chisora got some knockdowns in the ninth and twelfth to win. Wallin looked so awful tonight, and Chisora did too. The result came that Wallin was the worst of the worst.
USYK Dreamin ‘
Although the commentators and fans at the Co-Op Live Arena became angry with 41-year-old Chisora, he did not look impressive like someone who judges a world title against UBF champion Daniel Dubois. It would be pure male adjustments and not a good image to portray the sport. Chisora will be humiliated by one of the guys.
For Chisora to really earn a world title against Utusyk or Dubois, he has to beat one of the contenders in the Top 5:
– Agit Kabayel
– Moses will bite
– Martin Bakole
– Zhilei Zhang
My choice for Chisora would be that he faces bakole. If he can defeat Bakole, he deserves a world title. Unlike that, he would fight for a world title just because of entertainment that has nothing to do with real sports. It is not worthy of a world title for Chisora to beat a low-selected #12 Otto Wallin.
Matchmaking magic
Tonight’s struggle was about matchmaking. Wallin was well chosen, carefully chosen for weakness, and the ideal contender for the bottom that Chisora could beat. If Derek’s promoters matched a quality fighter in the ranking of heavyweight, such as Bakole, Kabayel, Zhilei Zhang, Itauma or Parker, he would have been knocked out by everyone.
I doubt USyk Chisora will humor for a world title, because fans will roast him for choosing a travel man, who is Derek. Tonight’s victory shows what happens when management chooses the perfect opponent for an old fighter who is over the hill to beat.
“I’m going to sell Tottenham (in London). I’m going to call Oleksandr (USKy) and see that we can do it, ”Derek Chisora said Talksport Boxing Over the end of the year, WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr uksandr want to challenge usk after his victory on Saturday night over #12 The IBF contender Otto Wallin.
‘Oleksandr Ulsyk, yes. I think I won that battle (in 2020), ”Chisora said when asked why he wanted to fight again. “Do you want me to fight against AJ? He will fight at the end of the year. So we will see what happens. This cannot happen (Joshua). I want Oleksandr now. “
