Aston Villa could reportedly double the value of their shirt sponsorship if they qualify for the Champions League again.
Villa currently has a lucrative deal signed with Greek betting platform Betano. However, as Premier League clubs can no longer have betting companies as shirt sponsors from the 2026/27 campaign, they will need to find a new partner soon.
That leaves Villa with the rest of their season and next season to try and establish themselves firmly as a Champions League club to attract the biggest names, after securing a top-four clash in 2023/ 24.
Aston Villa could land a £50m sponsorship deal
Football Insider report that Villa’s current deal with Betano is worth a record £20m per season.
However, they also claim that if the club can prove they are a “serious” regular final four contender, it will leave the door open to a sponsorship deal worth closer to £50m.
Unai Emery’s men are currently fifth in the Premier League table, with 13 points and just one defeat in six matches so far.
Villa are one of a number of Premier League clubs that have been walking a fine line regarding the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability (PSR) rules in recent months.
But there is no doubt that if they can find a more lucrative sponsorship deal, the pressure on Emery and professional football CEO Monchi would be greatly reduced in the transfer market.
