Matchday two of the Champions League concludes on Wednesday night with the next set of nine games and the last 18 teams in action across the continent.
This is where the league stage will start to take a little more shape and we can see a little more clearly who will be competing for the top eight and the 24 will make it to the end of the stage.
Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Aston Villa are among the teams in action.
Prediction: Girona 1-0 Feyenoord
Neither Girona nor Feyenoord have enjoyed positive stars in the campaign either at national level or on the European stage. Both are looking for their first win and will be keen not to have to play on the day.
Prediction: Shakhtar Donetsk 0-2 Atalanta
Atalanta drew Arsenal in their Champions League opener and will fancy their chances of picking up their first win of the campaign against a struggling Shakhtar side.
Prediction: Aston Villa 2-2 Bayern Munich
this week, Aston Villa against Bayern Munich it’s a repeat of the famous final in 1982. Both clubs got off to a good start on matchday one, although no one was better than Bayern and their nine goals.
Prediction: Benfica 1-1 Atlético de Madrid
Atlético de Madrid make the short trip to Portugal, where they will face Benfica, two former champions and five runners-up, where they could share the spoils.
Prediction: Dinamo Zagreb 1-2 Monaco
At the bottom of the pile are Dinamo Zagreb after annihilation last time out, but getting anything out of a Monaco side that has beaten Barcelona twice in five weeks will be a battle.
Prediction: Lille 1-2 Real Madrid
Real Madrid return to the stage and look to make it back-to-back wins as they travel to north-east France to face Lille. The Whites drew in the Madrid derby at the weekend.
Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Bologna
A new equipment is the first meeting between them Liverpool and Bologna, the latter competing in the European Cup for the first time since 1964, when The Beatles took the world by storm.
Prediction: RB Leipzig 1-1 Juventus
Juventus will be hoping to build on last month’s opening win, but it will be difficult against RB Leipzig in Germany. The Serie A side have shown a tendency to settle for a draw, rather than risk losing everything in search of a winner.
Prediction: Sturm Graz 1-1 Club Brugge
Sturm Graz and Club Brugge are looking for positive form and will see this game as one of their best chances to get points.
